OK, the “Battle of the Bods” post on Roissy made me think of this.
How would you rate Israeli girls from different backgrounds? You know, Ashkenazi vs Moroccan vs Yemeni, etc.
I’ve got my own opinion – kind of interested in seeing your analysis and how it compares to mine.
Wow, interesting question. I hardly know where to begin…
But first a short note on ethnicity: I consider Jews to be one ethnic group – which has gradually been shown to be consistent with evidence revealed by the last decade of genetic studies – notwithstanding their different appearances from country to country. Where I refer to a specific Jewish “ethnicity” in English, I’m thinking of the word עדה in Hebrew for which I can’t really come up with a better translation than “community.” I also hate referring to Jews from X country, or whose parents or grandparents came from that country, as Xes or whatever (ie, Jews from France are not French and Jews from Russia are not Russians), though in this case it’s expedient.
I definitely prefer the Mediterranean type to the eastern European type, but I also think the Ashkenazi appearance is the most diverse by virtue of being the most numerous and of having lived in the most countries.
At the top of my ranking, I’d put תימניות (Yemenites) and גרוזיניות (Caucasian Georgians). I’m even surprised at myself for writing this, because I tend to think of Yemenite girls as being a little too skinny and of Georgian girls of having that funny Georgian face that they all have (and some of them are extremely pale-skinned).
Next: Persians and Syrians.
Then: what I consider to be the typical Ashkenazi look and the typical north African look, which both vary a lot.
Then: Ethiopians. I’m not particularly attracted to the black girls I knew in America, who are mostly descended from west Africans, the Ethiopian girls here are disproportionately gorgeous (still, lots of variation, though).
Toward the bottom, I’d put new arrivals from the former USSR. I am not really into skinny blondes.
I’d be very interested to hear other people’s opinions.

Yes! You agree with me – Yemenite girls are incredibly underrated, and probably neglected by the Israeli fashion industry because of their dark skin. Facially, they aren’t always the best, but it’s incredible how many of them have model-quality bods.
It’s said that back in the 50′s, when they immigrated to Israel, FOB Yemeni babes were the wives of choice for Ashkenazi beta males who couldn’t get Ashkenazi women.
I didn’t know that about the fashion industry, but you have to keep in mind that the men selecting which women will appear on billboards and in magazines tend to be homosexuals. So they choose women who most closely resemble their own concept of beauty, which is not consistent with ours.
Anyway, what do you think of the Georgian girls and the others?
On Russian girls: They vary greatly due to varying degrees of non-Jewish ancestry.
But even the purebred Jewish girls (who can get quite dark) among them are better-looking than their sabra Ashkenazi sisters, IMO, because they take better care of their bodies and dress more femininely.
Anyway, I guess it’s the blonde Russian girls who stand out, because they’re more likely to be part of the partially-Slavic wave that immigrated more recently in the late 90′s. The girls of the earlier 90′s wave are likelier to have more subtle accents, darker looks, and thus they “fly under the radar”.
That may be the case, though I guess I’d have to decide where to draw the line between Ashkenazi and Russian.
Something about the Russian/Russian-Israeli, Israeli and American senses of fashion does not allow me to look at Russian-Israeli girls and see them as dressing well. I really don’t mean to generalize in this negative way, but the clothes I see on Russian-speaking girls in Israel are the kind of clothes that Redneck girls wore in America 25 years ago. They are always emphasizing the wrong thing and not emphasizing the right thing. Actually, this may have something to do with the fact that the USSR was first opening up to the West for things like fashion and music about 25 years ago.

You’re correct that some Russian girls go for a pretty garish trashy look on Friday night out in nightclubs.
But when you look at their everyday clothes – Russian girls try to be stylish every day, while native-borns girls often look mousy and nondescript. Especially if they aren’t “hotties”.
It’s like among the sabra girls there’s an unspoken but recognized rule where that only the hottest chicks are allowed to be stylish, but the Russian girls never got the memo. And I’m thinking this is a phenomenon that isn’t restricted to Israel.
Georgian Girls: My sample size isn’t large enough to have a definite opinion. Some of them look godl, and some of them have that chunky square-headed Caucasus look.
There must be something to your opinion, though. I’d say that entire region (probably including Armenia and all of those Turkic republics) is legendary for a certain type of female beauty.

Yeah, I do appreciate that they’re trying to be stylish, but they’re making themselves look worse with all those sequins, tassels, weird prints, unknown fabrics, dyed hair, too much makeup, etc. I prefer a plain looking girl to all that.

I guess you’re right, but I make it a point to spend as much time in big cities as possible, so I’m surrounding myself with the girls who both look the best and who make themselves look the best.

Yemeni and Ethiopian Jews are pretty easy to pick out based on appearance. Some Ashkenazi are easy to tell, I guess if they have a lot of European mixing, but for the most part, I can’t tell apart Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrahi with great accuracy. I know Persian Jews are very attractive from those that I’ve met in the states and seen in the media.

I’ve never heard of the ass thing, but Jewish girls having big boobs is a very common stereotype in the US.

Wow, I’d never heard this story (I don’t read the crime reports much). I can’t imagine what Roissy would say about this, but I do not think of rape as an alpha behavior. Rape is for lower beta males who can’t even get “lucky.” Even normal betas can get girlfriends and guilt them into sex every once in a while. Alphas look down on men who rape women. A high-testosterone alpha wouldn’t ever need to resort to rape, because he could always find females willing to have sex with him.
From a little googling, it seems that Erez Efrati’s girlfriend’s name is Vered something: ורד לאולם. I’m not familiar with this family name and I don’t know whether to pronounce it like “le-olam,” or rhyming with Meshulam. I could see her being of north African descent, but my instinct would be eastern: Kurdish or Persian, perhaps. She doesn’t really look like most of the Mesopotamian Jews that I’ve known well (including an LTR and her entire extended family and all her friends). But she is beautiful.
Her name is Vered Eli.
I’m judging this guy’s alphaness by his appearance, station in life, and above all, the reaction of his fiancee. A loserish guy would have been dumped.
